Dear Colleagues and Students,
Since its inception in July 2007 through an Act of Parliament, Sikkim University has steadily grown, overcoming many challenges to emerge as a prominent centre for academic and research excellence in the North Eastern region. The development of our permanent campus is a major milestone that will address current limitations and open up new possibilities—for expanding our academic footprint, attracting top talent, and building global collaborations. I firmly believe that the dedication of our faculty, staff, and students will continue to drive the University forward. Together, we are shaping an institution that delivers high-quality education not only to Sikkim, but to the entire nation. Let us move ahead with a shared vision of intellectual, academic, and cultural enrichment for the people of the Eastern Himalayas.
Warm wishes,
Prof. Santanu Kumar Swain
Vice-Chancellor, Sikkim University
